Q. WHAT DO I WEAR?

A. One of the great advantages with the Spa Capsule is that you remain fully dressed, but shoes and jackets MUST be removed as well as any sharp objects such as belts, jewellery etc... Sock/tights must be worn. Socks are available to purchase at our clinic.

 

Q. WHAT IS A HYDRO MASSAGE?

A. It’s a high frequency, oxygen-infused mechanical stimulation. The hydro-Therapy is a patented system of 28 jets of pressurised water, oscillating at high frequency. When applied to the body, it causes the muscle tissue and subcutaneous adipose tissue to vibrate 20 to 30 cycles per second.  The capsule can be programmed for both the Weight Loss Programme and the Full Body Express Massage.

 

Q. WILL I GET WET?

A. No you do not get wet!

There are two thin membranes that protect you from the water jets.

 

Q. WHAT IF I’M CLAUSTROPHOBIC?

A. Your head is never enclosed.  There is a choice of audio and visual aid both of which may help ease any claustrophobia.  We are more than happy to take our time to assist you.

 

Q. I’VE JUST HAD A BABY, WHEN CAN I USE THE SPACAPSULE?

A. After 3 months you should be able to use the Capsule providing there were no complicating.

 

Q. HOW LONG IS THE TREATMENT?

A. Both Treatments last 25mins.  25mins is the equivalent to a 55mins manual massage.

 

Q. WHO CAN USE IT?

A. Anyone can use the capsule providing they can get themselves in and out safely without our assistance.  You may bring your carer with you for assistance.  Do not use Pacemaker, Heart problem, Pregnant or had a baby within 3 months, Blood Clots, Osteoporosis, broken bones or in the last 3 months.

 

Q. WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER THE MASSAGE?

A. It is highly recommended that you drink plenty of water before and after your massage treatment. Because massage helps clear metabolic wastes by increasing the circulation rate of blood and lymph, these chemicals require water, which needs to be replenished.

 

Q. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I RECEIVE MASSAGE TREATMENTS? IS THERE A PREFERRED FREQUENCY OF TREATMENT?

A.  Some is better than none.

What does that mean? Well, it varies from person to person. If you are just looking for some occasional relaxation, then a session every 3-6 weeks may be fine for you.

It depends on the individual, but we strongly recommend getting a massage treatment at least once a month. In fact, twice a month is highly recommended and would be very beneficial, during a difficult or stressful time in your life. A weekly massage can help immensely. Massage, like any other treatment, is not a one-time occurrence. In order to see consistent results, even if it is to decrease stress and relax, needs to be on a consistent basis. Massage therapy is an important part of your lifestyle and it should be considered just like sleep, diet and exercise.

 

Q. WHAT IF I GET AN ERECTION DURING MY MASSAGE?

A. Sometimes men get an erection during a non-sexual, therapeutic, full body massage. Touch administered to any part of the body can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which can result in a partial or complete erection.

 

Q. WHEN SHOULD I NOT GET A MASSAGE?

A. In my opinion there are few conditions which would prevent you from enjoying massage. You should not book a massage if you have a fever, cold/flu, or contagious skin infection.  Do not use if you suffer from any of these conditions:- Pacemaker, Heart problem, Pregnant or had a baby within 3 months, Blood Clots, Osteoporosis, broken bones or in the last 3 months.

 

Q. I OFTEN HAVE "KNOT IN THE GUT" CAN THE SPA CAPSULE HELP?

A. The feeling that is associated with stress and anxiety, abdominal massage may help to relieve some of your uncomfortable symptoms.
